Happy New Calender Flip
Summer Solstice came & went, bringing with the changing balance of sunlight enormous changes in my personal life...
A New Year, and a new diary, now confront me... I have no idea how I shall create the life I need... a new page, a clean slate, a virgin canvas, are all intimidating...
What if I make a mistake? What if I'm not as competent as I need to be? What if nobody understands what I create?
Art reflects life... and so I must create art, despite my fears, in order to discover visual metaphors... and symbols representing elements of daily life... These are as signposts, for travelers in unfamiliar territory...
Here's to a New Year of high creativity, of great illumination, and new vision.
Here's to a New Year of innovation, and of wonder... of prolific ideas, and deep insights...
As you mark the first page of your 2015, I wish you much joy and kindness in the year to come.

Day lost count, mandala a day- "Moonbathing"
Here, I'm loving the "Super moon", basking in its soft illumination, comfortable in my dream boat, and moon-bathing...
Enjoying the undercurrent... enjoying the dreaming...
The Moon itself looks a little "unfinished"... perhaps I'll work up this image another time...
In rather a hurry this morning with a busy day ahead... hope this image carries me through calmly

Day 17 a mandala a day - Firebird and the Goddesses
Something returned yesterday that I now see in a different light.... in my own light...
Was feeling a bit flat because of it this morning, and didn't feel like making a new drawing...
So glad I made the effort...

A Brilliant Summer Solstice to You
Summer Solstice and time once more to do a bit of a personal review....
... I've achieved a lot this year... and I feel pretty pleased with the way things are going... of course, there is always room for improvement. It seems to me, that the more encouragement I get, the easier it is to shine brightly. Well, after all, that's what Marigolds do, is it not?
But not only Marigolds... everyone can shine, and everyone has something of value to contribute to the world... It seems tragic not to shine for fear of being cut down by criticism...
So, I would like to see people being kind.... actively encouraging each other to shine - to reach further and glow brighter.... It's not only for ourselves that we need to beam out our brightness, but it is for the world, which can't be the same without every single individual....
Every single flower makes a beautiful garden.
Wishing you a splendid Solstice, and I'm looking forward to basking in your brilliant illumination!
